What is a qualified electronic signature (QES)? +

Can a foreign citizen obtain a Polish qualified signature? +
Yes. Since the 2024 amendment to the Polish Trust Services Act, foreign citizens can obtain a Polish qualified signature based on a passport or EU national ID. Identity verification is done remotely via video call with an English-speaking consultant.
How long does it take to issue the signature? +
With our assisted video verification — typically 24 hours from order. Standard provider process without assistance: 7 business days.
Does the signature work with Polish government systems (KSeF, ePUAP, e-PIT)? +
Yes. A Certum-issued QES is a full-fledged signature accepted by all Polish government systems and banks, because Certum is listed on the Polish Trusted List maintained by NCCert.

Polish qualified signature for foreigners — step by step in 2026
If you're a foreign national running a company in Poland, signing contracts with Polish counterparties, or required to report to KSeF, you need a Polish qualified electronic signature (QES). Since 2024 you no longer need to visit Poland — the entire identity verification is done over a video call with an English-speaking operator.
